叱られている理由も内容も全部わかってるけど、行き場のない「ふてくされ感」。こんな返事の仕方だと、この後絶対に「ほんとにわかってるの？」って聞かれて、余計長引いちゃうことがわかってるのに「良いお返事」ができない時のあの気持ち。

It is the seventh piece in the shadow puppets series:
A childhood experience, when all the reasons for the scolding wholly made sense, but we sometimes couldn’t handle the sulky feeling. Even though we knew this way of response would make the discussion take longer, and mum must ask again, “Are you sure you understood what I mean?”
It was the feeling when a good “Yes, mum.” is hard to say.
