1つ前にUPした8枚目の絵を描きながら「実物の視力検査表が横にあったら絶対楽しいはず！」と思いついて作ることにしたのがこの9枚目です。
個展は2024年3月20日から、ぜひ会場で、この絵の前に立って遊んでみていただきたいです♪ 👉🖕👀 遊んでくださった方にささやかなプレゼントをご用意する予定です（限定数）🎁
‘なんちゃって視力検査表’ (sold)
アクリル絵の具、紙、アルミホイル、樹脂製フレーク、大理石粉末、木製パネル 410 x 273 mm、2024年
実はこのドーナツたち、「描いて」仕上げています。成形した粘土を貼れつければ大きさもそろえやすく、圧倒的に早くできるはずですが、それだと整いすぎてしまう気がして。筆でアクリル絵の具を盛り上げたからこそのホームメイド感が自分としては気に入っています。
ちなみに大きなドーナツ5つは、逆に絵の具だけだと絵の総重量が上がってしまうので、紙とホイルで芯材を作り、その上に同じように絵の具を盛り上げていきました。
そうそう、視力検査表にもいろいろあるらしく、欧米では複数のアルファベットを使うスネレン視環が、アメリカや中国はアルファベットのEだけを使うEチャートが主流だそうです🧐
While making the painting that I posted previously, I thought it would definitely be fun to hang an actual eye chart next to it. So, I decided to prepare this 9th piece for the upcoming exhibit in March 2024;

I would love for the viewers to stand in front of this 🍩 chart at the venue and play with it ✋👀✨.
I'll prepare a small gift for those playing with this piece. (limited quantity) 🎁.
These donuts 🍩 are made by heaping acrylic medium up with a brush. (I only used foil and paper for the larger 5 donuts as a core so this piece wouldn't be too heavy)
Gluing pre-molded clay is much quicker and more organized than applying acrylic medium, but I like this homemade atmosphere, too.
Tip:
This nibbled circle is called the ‘Landolt ring’ (popularly in Japan)
Using some alphabet is called the ‘Snellen chart’ (In Western countries)
Letter E version is called 'E chart’ (In the US and China)
