おわりはじまり / The End of the Beginning

夫婦で5年続けたお店を2020年3月末に閉じた。手探りで夫が改装した父親と同い年の古い民家。コーヒーと木の香り、軋む床。路地からの陽光と、ランプが作る影はいつも柔らかかった。片付けが進むほど、寂しさが頭をもたげる。でも、終わりは、始まりだ。ありがとう、またね。
（終わり（影）を惜しむでもなく、始まり（光）を強調するでもなく、どちらも共に静かに味わうように描きました）
At the end of March 2020, we closed the cafe that we have run for five years. It was an old house, the same age as my dad, and my husband renovated by himself. I remember the coffee and wood's aroma always filled there, and the floors creaked at each step. The sunlight from the alley and the shadows the lamp cast were very soft. The more our packing went, I felt sad a bit to leave. But the end is the beginning.Thank you and see you!
(The finish and the new starts can be said the shadows and the lights. I painted both as if I tasted them peacefully and equally.)
